the hardest stitch ever

Son of a b*tch, P5tog is impossible. Impossible, I say!

What makes it harder is that I need to ([k1tbl, yo] 2 times, k1tbl) in order to get those 5 stitches. So they have no give whatsoever.

Why do pretty shawls have to be so hard?

snow and socks

I knit this sock for a friend but I never knit the pair. It's made with Trekking XXL

Then I knit this very cute blue sock using Lorna's Laces. I never knit the pair...

I just finished this very pretty purple sock using Trekking XXL. It's one of my favorite socks. Will I actually knit the pair? I don't know....

I'm already eyeing this yarn. It's Cascade Yarns Sassy Stripes.

Oh, and it snowed.

Musings about God

Gus and I discuss God and here is a summary.

We are made in God's image. So we are like God. Then what makes him different? What makes him all powerful? Answer: God has four thumbs.
We declare supremacy over animals because we have opposable thumbs. God declares supremacy over humans because he simply has more thumbs than us. With these thumbs he is able to slip into the fabric of time and space and manipulate it to his will. Think about it.

My favorite scarf and Haiku

Hello lover. My first encounter with Noro Kureyon was with this scarf. I have since fallen in love. I'll put up pics of a few more Noro knits. I hear they are making sock yarn...the world is now a better place.

my nephews

Wow, I can't believe how much thay have grown.
This is my godson Ricky. The last pic I had of him was his first school picture. I still have it on my fridge...he looks happy.

This is Dario. Look at those ears, lol. He was but a baby when I left.

This Halloween.

Knitting

Here is the Transformers Hat from craftster. The logos are on each side, then it fully reverses or "transforms" to a plain side that says "more than meets the eye".
Pattern: Transformers Hat by Lori Magnus
Yarn: Filati Sport Superwash. It fit gauge and was superwash. That was the most important part.
Changes: Yarn and colors. Everything else was the same and worked perfectly.

Tucson sunset scarf. The colors are way muted. They are brighter in real life. I love this scarf but it might be to bright to wear everyday. I think I'll save it for those ugly, gray days.

Feathers from the Icarus Shawl. I love this shawl and yarn but I keep running out of yarn. These are the last feathers that have clung on to poor Icarus' wings. If I don't get more yarn I suppose he'll never fly....
